ENNIS, Texas, September 25, 2011 – Jason Line and the Summit Racing team continued to make strides towards the 2011 Full Throttle Championship on Sunday, sweeping the competition in winning the Pro Stock title at the AAA Texas NHRA Fall Nationals in Ennis, Texas. Starting from the No. 1 position after resetting the track elapsed time and speed records in qualifying, Line eliminated six-time champion Warren Johnson, Countdown contender Greg Stanfield and Steve Kent in the early rounds before squaring off against rival Kurt Johnson in the final in a rematch of last week’s championship round in Charlotte won by Johnson.

In the production-based GT class, Mazda scored a podium sweep led by Sylvain Tremblay and Jonathan Bomarito in the No. 70 Mazdaspeed/Castrol Edge Mazda RX-8. Unlike last year - when SpeedSource cars took the top three positions, three different teams finished on the GT podium as the marquee took its first victory of the season.
Bomarito took the checkered flag .685 seconds ahead of John Edwards, who won the pole in the No. 42 TheRaceSite.com Mazda RX-8 he shared with Wayne Nonnamaker. James Gue and Dane Cameron took third in the No. 41 Dempsey Racing Mazda RX-8.

After 6 races in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Rowan Pennink has captured the series points lead along with Ron Silk in close 2nd. Each driver has produced 1 win and 5 top five finishes. Bobby Santos III has begun the season with a slightly less aggressive run on the points currently putting himself in the 7th spot. This however means little with still 10 races to go in the season.

The 2009 season began with a win at the season opener at Volusia for the third year running, that victory was only a preview for the things to come for Richards for the 2009 World of Outlaws Late Model season. Winning a series best eight A-mains and six fastest qualifier awards, the young driver battled veterans to become the youngest Champion in World of Outlaws Late Model Series history. In 40 WoOLMS events entered in 2009 Richards posted 23 top 5’s and 34 top 10’s.
